One fall afternoon, while binge watching a detective show, I saw a commercial for CASA that brought tears to my eyes. Over the next few days I could not stop thinking about the children in the commercial and the positive change one person made in their life. 

I reached out through the CASA website and was quickly contacted, signed up for the training program, sworn in, and accepted my first case.  My role has been essential to protecting a preteen and helping her navigate placement, understanding what comes next and being a consistent person she can turn to. I am someone she can trust to stand up for her best interests and tell her and others the truth.  

I am someone who answers the hard questions and someone to stand beside her during difficult times in her case.
