$1000 per year
is the cost to advocate for one child
- Advertising, recruitment and outreach efforts to raise awareness and gain volunteers
- Training costs – including the 35-hour pre-service training required by all volunteers, and the 12-hours of annual in-service training required of all current volunteers
- Screening costs – a fingerprint background check for each new volunteer and repeat checks for current volunteers after every three years
- Support and administrative costs – each volunteer must be supervised by a staff attorney and the National CASA Standard of a 1:30 ratio of a full-time equivalent staff position to active volunteers must be maintained, as well as all the additional administrative, case management, and non-profit agency costs
CASA understands the need for complete transparency and how our funds are used. This is evidenced throughout the website, specifically in this section and the Financial Statements and Annual Report section. We have included links to our audits, IRS990s, as well as our Annual Report. We want you to be confident that your gift is directly helping a child. We welcome questions and will gladly provide additional information whenever possible.
